On March 15, a fun-filled day of community spirit was had by all at EsteroFest. Hosted by the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce at Estero Community Park, this year’s celebration also marked the 10th Anniversary of the Village of Estero.
Many local organizations were on hand to talk about products and services in the Business Expo tent area. Festival-goers also enjoyed food and dessert trucks, and the bier garden. Children played in the Kids Zone and delighted in visits from Spider-Man, Moana, Too Tall Torrie, The Everblades mascot Swampee, and Robo Dog from Lee County Sheriff’s Office. There was festive live music all day long, including an evening performance from the nationally-acclaimed Ben Allen Band.

Engage Estero “Don Eslick Person of the Year Award” dinner
The 2nd Annual Don Eslick ‘Estero Person(s) of the Year’ for 2024, presented by Engage Estero, was held on February 27 at the Estero Country Club at the Vines, in Estero. This year’s honorees were Joe and Joni Pavich, who have played a crucial role in the community since 1989. This annual event, memorializing Don Eslick for his vision and contributions to the Estero community, also honors those who have made exceptional contributions to improving the quality of life in Estero.
Estero Community Church hosted their 2nd Annual ‘Blessing of the Animals’ on Saturday, February 15, 2025. The well-behaved animals and their owners were lauded with responsive readings, prayers, scripture readings and joined together in song. The final act of the blessings was the laying of hands on each individual animal. Church volunteers provided pet treats, water stations, a charm of the Patron Saint of Animals, St. Francis of Assisi for their collars and a personalized Certificate of Animal Blessing. ‘Treats’ for the animal’s owners were also backed by church volunteers. This growing event is already planned for 2026.
