Wildcat Run Charitable Foundation held its annual “Golfing 4 Kids” benefit dinner on April 7, 2019. The event took place in the newly remodeled Wildcat Run Clubhouse following the foundation’s celebrated golf tournament. The evening featured an extravagant buffet dinner. Silent and live auctions benefited numerous children’s charities, including Wings of Shelter, Valerie’s House, New Horizons, Laces of Love, Interfaith Charities and others.

Zonta Club Celebrates 25 Years

The Zonta Club of Bonita Springs-Estero celebrated a milestone at its annual Woman of the Year Fundraising Luncheon, with over 130 guests including local dignitaries. The luncheon raised over $11,5000 for local service projects. The event was emceed by NBC-2 news anchor Stacey Deffenbaugh. The 2019 Woman of the Year, Sally Smith, was honored for her contributions in the community and her humanitarian efforts in Guatemala.

Two car enthusiasts from Michigan, Sam Perry and George Zalucki (now an Estero resident), decided Southwest Florida was missing something: an all-day car cruise. They organized the first Gulf Coast Dream Cruise, held on April 13 at Miromar Outlets. Hundreds of cool car owners brought their rides out to cruise along Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. Charitable donations were collected for the Harry Chapin Food Bank as part of “Cruisin’ for a Cause.”
