Village Connection-New Entertainment District Planned for Williams Road

HIGH 5 Restaurants
The Village began soliciting partners in February to develop an entertainment district on a 20-acre site owned by the Village on Williams Road. The objective of this public-private partnership process is to attract private investment for the purpose of providing recreational activities desired by the community, along with a financial return to the community estimated at over $1 million annually.
The Village engaged Vieste, LLC, as its consultant. Vieste and Village staff have provided periodic briefings to the Village Council as business plans have taken shape to ensure the project proceeds toward the desired outcomes. The Village also has ensured active community involvement through public information meetings and the formation of a focus group that provides comments on the design and operations of any proposed facility.

Bowling Area
Two firms are being recommended as partners for the Village. Chicken and Pickle is a national leader in the provision of private pickleball facilities, and High 5 is a provider of multi-generational recreational activities, also with facilities across the nation. Each firm will be investing approximately $15 million of their own equity into the project. Both proposals are being advanced concurrently as they provide complimentary activities and benefit from a collaborative planning effort on the site.
The Village Council previously approved a contract with RWA Engineering for civil engineering design and site development services. That contract has an aggressive schedule to provide “pad-ready” parcels for the selected private partners. The targeted opening date is approximately October or November 2024.
