Fall has arrived, and the Coconut Point Farmers Market is back! New to the Thursday market this season is The Healthy Pooch, owned by Karin Reglar. She enthusiastically offers a variety of interesting products from nutritious, homemade, dog treats to handmade harnesses and bow ties. Karin started The Healthy Pooch because she couldn’t find healthful treats for her dogs. After much research, she developed treats made of mainly fruits and vegetables — most have no more than four ingredients. The Coconut Point Farmers Market offers staples like fresh produce, meats, seafood and honey, as well as many unique non-food, handcrafted items. It’s open Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (open on Wed., Nov. 21, instead of Thursday for the week of Thanksgiving). Estero’s other farmers market takes place on Sundays at Koreshan State Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Farmers Market at Koreshan is open year-round with market admission of $1.
