The Tumor Takedown Tailgate is a family-friendly event that aims to raise awareness and funds for the MUSELLA Foundation, a nonprofit charity dedicated to helping brain tumor patients. The event will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 4-8 PM at Wicked Dolphin, located at 131 SW 3rd Place, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Guests will enjoy live music by Riverside Band, rum-inspired cocktails by Wicked Dolphin, and food trucks featuring options from Freshly Prepped, Big Boyz BBQ Pit, and Scoop Me Up Ice Cream. The first 100 guests will receive two tickets each to Off the Hook Comedy Club, and everyone will have the chance to participate in an auction and raffle. The grand prize is a limited-edition bottle of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, generously provided by ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. Other prizes up for grabs include a one-night stay at the Luminary Hotel & Co., complete with breakfast for two at Ella Mae’s Diner and complimentary valet parking. Hertz Arena is offering four premium tickets to watch the Florida Everblades and two tickets to the beloved Paw Patrol Live show. Cooper’s Hawk is giving away four luxurious wine tastings, a bottle of wine, and a three-month membership. Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre is providing two dinner and ticket packages to Footloose, while the Myakka Elephant Ranch is offering two Elephant Spa Experiences and so much more! Hosts Zachary McBride and Morgan Mitchell, brain tumor survivors, organized the event in an effort to raise awareness in the community and support brain tumor patients through emotional and financial aid, education, and advocacy. All donations raised at the event are tax-deductible and will go directly to the MUSELLA Foundation to help brain tumor patients and their families. “This event is so much more than a tailgate, it’s an opportunity for the community to come together and support those who are affected by brain tumors,” said McBride.
