“DRIVE OUT HUNGER” AND 30TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND LIVE AUCTION

Interfaith Charities of South Lee hosts its annual fundraising dinner and live auction at The Club at Grandezza on Thursday, April 7th.  This event is a vital part of the organization’s efforts to raise funds needed to stock the food pantry and address the rising needs of families in Estero and San Carlos Park. The cost for the dinner is $125 per person, which includes a delicious plated dinner and two drinks. 

The highlight of the evening – a live auction – features delectable confections handcrafted by local pastry chefs, and other unique items up for bid for all attendees. The auction will be called by popular auctioneer, Rick Gallo, assisted by Stacey Deffenbaugh, NBC2 Alert Center Anchor, who will emcee the evening’s event.   

Many families served by Interfaith Charities are struggling as a result of decreased work and increased food prices due to the COVID crisis. According to Nancy Martin, Executive Director, ICSL families are hard-working members of the community who often find themselves underemployed and in need of temporary help. “As our largest fundraiser of the year, our goal is to raise $100,000 to help us continue covering the gaps and providing assistance and tools to gain long-term independence to our neighbors,” said Lisa Wilkes, Board President.
