Seeking to experience exquisite Italian cuisine in an atmosphere that is classy yet relaxed? Aldos Italian Table and Bar is your destination. The homey eatery transports guests to la dolce vitaor the sweet life a state of mind where all worries vanish, and the focus is on enjoying time with loved ones while feasting on homemade pastas and pizzas.

Conveniently located in University Village, Aldos is the perfect spot for family dinners, date nights, or grabbing a pizza and Italian beer with friends. The entire establishment gives off a warm glow the jovial chatter of satisfied guests, the smell of fresh-baked Neapolitan pizzas and ambient lighting. The cozy restaurant made its debut last year on November 22 as an expansion of its original location in East Naples.

Featuring a gorgeous interior complete with sleek chandeliers, wood paneling and seating areas outfitted in redandwhite checkered tablecloths, the new location of Aldos provides guests with a modern Italian dining experience while highlighting traditional Italian heritage through small but meaningful details like jars of fresh Italian tomato sauce and decorative greenery sprinkled with lemons, reminiscent of those found on Italys Amalfi Coast.

Owners Aldo and Kelly Musico opened the first location of Aldos Italian Table and Bar in 2002. Initially, the quaint family-owned eatery had only six tables and offered a small selection of Italian dishes; however, it quickly expanded both its menu and its clientele after receiving a four-star review in the Naples Daily News for its incredible New York style pizza.

I grew up running around the kitchen when I was barely walking, says Aldo.

The entrepreneur was born in Naples, Italy, where his grandfather owned a restaurant, exposing him to authentic Italian cuisine and service from an early age. From working a part-time job at an Italian restaurant throughout college to opening several pizza places with his wife in Philadelphia and eventually launching a series of restaurants in Southwest Florida, Aldo has followed his passion for Italian cooking and experienced tremendous success in the process.

Since the opening of the original Aldos, his business has steadily grown, allowing the restaurant to expand its offering to include live music three nights a week, a lunch program that offers healthy, organic meals to local school children, and an extensive bar menu featuring a variety of martinis, signature cocktails and Italian wines.

Although the new location of Aldos is a similar concept, it has brought its own twist to the dining scene in Estero. The new Aldos has a modernized Italian menu showcasing juicy steaks, Italian American pasta creations prepared by Chef Anthony Russo, and fluffy, Neapolitan-style pizzas in addition to classic Italian dishes like Chicken Piccata. Two-time Italian-style pizza champion Giuseppe Manco can be seen making his Neapolitan masterpieces in the restaurants eye-catching, Italian brick pizza oven.

I havent had pizza like this since Italy, says Aldo.

In addition to Aldos Italian Table and Bar, the Aldo and Kelly Musico also own local Tex-Mex chain Tacos and Tequila, which first opened in 2013 and has since expanded to three locations. With plans to open their fourth Tacos and Tequila in early 2022 and a vision for a third Aldos location, it is apparent they make a powerful duo, inspiring the culture of high-quality service that shines throughout each of their restaurants.

Aldo is hands-down the best boss Ive ever worked for, says Bartender Atlas Gonzalez. Our team is like a little family.

This family-oriented attitude is evidenced by the warm service offered at Aldos Italian Table and Bar and is modeled from the top down. Guests can expect to see Aldo doing anything from serving customers Italian classics like Arancini (Italian rice balls) and Bucatini Carbonara to chatting with regular customers and working in the kitchen.

With friendly service, a lively yet relaxing environment, and a wide variety of mouthwatering Italian American cuisine, Aldos is a welcome addition to the Estero dining scene. Stop by for a happy hour special, enjoy a delectable meal in the dining room, or relax out on the patio whatever your preference, it is certain that you will encounter la dolce vita.
