Real Seafood Co. Brings Fine Dining and Fresh Seafood to Coconut Point
By Cheryl Mandell
Local seafood lovers, get excited! After operating for 20 years in north Naples, Real Seafood Co. has relocated to Coconut Point. This upscale seafood restaurant built out the enormous space that was formerly home to Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill. Real Seafood Co. celebrated its grand opening at Coconut Point on December 11, 2024.
“Our lease was up in north Naples, and we saw the potential in this spot that was vacant for over four years,” said General Manager Olivier Morame, who brings his 10 years of expertise managing Real Seafood Co. in north Naples to this new location.
Real Seafood Co. deserves its name. Like the original Real Seafood Co. established in 1975 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Estero location continues the tradition of sustainably sourcing fresh, top-quality fish and shellfish from the waters of New England and the Great Lakes, while also sourcing an abundance of local ingredients from Florida. Each dish on the menu features fresh-caught seafood from these various locales, express-delivered and made to order from scratch. The meat on the menu is USDA top choice.
The restaurant’s completely renovated space features dark oak wood with brass accents. Hanging flora and Mediterranean tile offer a modern ambiance while paying subtle homage to the Florida coast. For those wishing to dine al fresco, there is a spacious outdoor patio area equipped with a fully stocked bar and views of the Coconut Point lagoon.
“The reception that we’ve received here from all of the residents has been so positive; it’s been going very well for us,” Morame said.
Chef Ryan Mercer serves up fresh Foley Fish and favorites such as gulf black grouper, whole local snapper, parmesan crusted flounder, and much more. The quality of the restaurant’s seafood suppliers sets Real Seafood Co. apart from many others. Foley’s products are sustainably sourced, meticulously processed and handled with care from dock to plate.
There’s a daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the bar and high top area, with drink specials including domestic beer, house wine and sangria, well cocktails and house martinis. A variety of starters are also on the happy hour menu. Two private rooms are available to parties great and small.
Real Seafood Co. is open Sunday through Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays until 10 p.m. Whether you prefer the stylish atmosphere indoors or dining al fresco, visit Real Seafood Co. for their “seafood as it should be.”
