In the span of two decades since its grand opening in November 2006, Coconut Point Mall has become a well-loved destination for locals and tourists to eat, shop and play. Located in the heart of Estero, it has helped put the village on the map for years.

More than just a beautiful outdoor shopping mall, Coconut Point is a hub of activities. With over 110 stores, 24 restaurants, more than 300 condominiums and 30,000 square feet of office space, there are shopping, dining and lifestyle options for all.

Family-friendly stores include Toy World, Game Stop, Five Below, Build-a-Bear and Barnes & Noble, and an artistically painted forest wonderland adorns the children’s play area near the south end of Fashion Drive.

Coconut Point is currently offering a fun, self-guided adventure for families with its Kids Discovery Trail. This free and flexible program encourages exploration through interactive stops, tasty treats for purchase, and hands-on fun across the center. The Kids Discovery Trail event runs through August 31.

For the past two years, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Estero and the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce, Coconut Point has hosted a spectacular holiday festival that has quickly earned its spot as one of the top local events of the season. Save the date for this year’s extravaganza, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 6.

In other exciting news, Coconut Point has received the “2024 Best of the Best Simon Mall” award regionally and nationally, which acknowledges the center for its exceptional achievements in various categories including mall teams, general managers and specialty leasing representatives.

“We’re incredibly honored that Coconut Point was recognized with this award,” said Stephen Welch, general manager of Coconut Point Mall. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team and our shared commitment to creating an exceptional experience for our guests.”

What’s New

The heartbeat of Coconut Point consists of its stores and restaurants. Since last year, the mall has welcomed many new shops, including Park Shores, Evereve, Sunglass World, UNTUCKit, and BH2.0.

Most recently, Coconut Point has had some highly anticipated new openings, including Sea Love Candle Bar (see story on page 22).

Nothing screams “Halloween” quite like the Spirit Halloween store. Just in time for spooky season, Spirit Halloween is opening a pop-up shop for a limited time in the former Joann Fabric’s space, bringing costumes of all kinds and decorations to rattle anyone’s bones.

Arriving ahead of the most wonderful time of the year, Nordstrom Rack is slated to open this fall at Coconut Point in the former space of the Christmas Tree Shops. Known for delivering on-trend apparel, shoes, accessories and home goods at a great value, Nordstrom Rack will offer a continuously refreshed selection of designer brands.

An impressive array of eateries have come to Coconut Point over the past year. Fresh Catch Inland, where classic coastal dishes meet vibrant new creations, stands at the north end of the mall near U.S. 41, in the former space of TGI Fridays.

PJK Neighborhood Chinese took over the former space of The Saloon in Coconut Point, after much success in its original location on Fourth Avenue in Old Naples. PJK offers traditional Chinese dishes, as well as eclectic entrees and cocktails.

Real Seafood Co. built out the enormous space that was formerly home to Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill. This upscale seafood restaurant celebrated its grand opening at Coconut Point in December 2024.

“The reception that we’ve received here from all of the residents has been so positive; it’s been going very well for us,” said Olivier Morame, general manager of Real Seafood Co.

More recently, Coldstone Creamery opened its doors in the former space of Stone Mountain.  Cold Stone is situated in the perfect spot to grab a sweet frozen treat and walk around the boardwalk that surrounds the lagoon at Coconut Point.

SB Bar made its debut this summer next to the Italian eatery, Mamma Anna’s. SB Bar creates perfectly cooked, juicy meats with a signature smoky flavor from its distinctive Josper charcoal grill. SB Bar offers an exceptional culinary experience in a classic speakeasy setting, complete with craft cocktails and a wide selection of beverages.

“We take pride in offering shopper-favorite brands, first-class dining and family-oriented fun to the Estero community,” said Welch. “These additions reinforce Coconut Point as a vibrant lifestyle destination where guests can shop, dine and make lasting memories.”
