Want to play a round of golf without the back or hip pain often associated afterward? How about a tennis or pickleball match? Wouldn’t it feel great to feel great, without debilitating knee or foot pain? There may just be a surprising remedy.
Introducing cannabidiol, the all-natural, fully legal, non-prescription compound found in industrial hemp. Did you pause after seeing the word hemp? Did it invoke images of hippies smoking marijuana in the 1960s? Not to worry.
Welcome to a new age of wellness, which can be found at the CBD Store in Bonita Springs. This recently-opened shop serves up a variety of cannabidiol (CBD), which comes without the dangerous chemicals found in THC, the psychoactive component in marijuana.
“The most important thing is that it’s all natural,” says Kim Halmrast, managing partner at the CBD Store. “It’s not going to do anything negative to you. There are no hallucinogenics. It works within your body. Most people have no idea the body produces the cannabinoid.”
Max Mitchley is one of the CBD Store’s investors. He echoes the sentiment of his partner, noting the safeness of the products they offer.
“You can’t overdose on this,” he says. “The body cleanses it just like food. While the body actually produces cannabinoid, often, your body doesn’t produce enough. When you start using it, you won’t be in the pain you have.”
Helping to relieve joint pain barely scratches the surface of CBD’s potential health benefits. The CBD Store claims to carry the relief to a litany of problems. Among them: fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), epilepsy, Crohn’s disease and Alzheimer’s.
While the owners at the CBD Store are inherently confident in the success their products will have for their clients, they are equally dedicated to educating customers on how to use the cannabinoid commodities.
“You don’t need to slather it all over your body and feel like it’s not working,” says Halmrast. “All the products have different timetables as to when they’ll take effect.”
The CBD Store supplies cannabinoid in several forms, such as oils, topicals, edibles, soft gel capsules and more. And it won’t interact with any other medication you may be taking. Perhaps, adds Halmrast, you might even stop taking prescription medications altogether.
For Halmrast, there is intrinsic joy in helping those who walk into the shop seeking relief.
“The personal gratitude for us is that they’ll come to this store, get on a treatment, and feel better,” she says.
