Something New Each Night at Seaside Bar and Grill

Seaside Bar & Grill is a new neighborhood hangout spot that offers locals a home away from home where they can enjoy socializing over live music and savory American cuisine. The up-and-coming, casual eatery is a pleasant surprise. In passing, it appears to be a happy, little joint with classic decor — white lattice walls surrounding the patio, greenery, string lights and an American flag. While this is all true, it is only a small slice of what you will see and experience when dining at Seaside Bar & Grill.
“The most unique thing about this place is that it offers something different every time you come in,” says General Manager Claudio Ormeno.
With different themes nearly every night of the week and frequent shows from live entertainers, Seaside Bar & Grill is an exciting addition to the current dining options in Southwest Florida. Some of these themed days include Taco Tuesday, Wine Down Wednesday and BBQ Thursday. The restaurant even offers special perks for area residents. On Monday evenings, locals enjoy 30 percent off their bill!
The restaurant gives off a relaxing, modern vibe designed to put a smile on the face of every guest. Owner Marc Devisse provided the vision behind this establishment. Growing up, his father owned a small restaurant which inspired his love for business. After successfully founding Tri-Town Construction in 2006 at the age of 22, the entrepreneur lasered his focus on serving the people of Southwest Florida.
He developed a passion for this community that continues to grow as he is now managing two local businesses with the opening of Seaside Bar & Grill in March 2020. Devisse wanted to open a new restaurant that was family friendly and community focused, and once again, he has succeeded.
By offering both indoor and outdoor seating at the eatery, restaurant goers are able to customize their experience. On the patio, families and friends gather to listen to live performers, chat and have a casual bite to eat. When our group dined, “Banjoe Steve” gave the crowd a lively performance of a selection of his original songs.
Those who choose indoor dining enjoy the feel of a casual yet classy dining room with an open kitchen and full bar. The decor inside is inviting — comfortable chairs and booths, a beachy color scheme featuring a beautiful backdrop made with slabs of rock, and an intriguing upper room painted with graffiti.
In addition to a laid-back atmosphere, Seaside Bar & Grill has a great team and truly tasty cuisine. The main menu includes specialty sandwiches such as the juicy barbecue pulled pork, seafood options like grilled salmon and grouper tacos, and scrumptious entrees like homemade Kobe meatloaf and prime rib. The kitchen is run by Chef Edgar Lopez, a Puerto Rican native who grew up cooking with his mother in their family restaurant.
Everything flows smoothly from the kitchen to the front of the house. Servers ease guests with friendly conversation and prompt food service.
“The credit I will give myself is building an amazing team,” says Devisse. “Other than that, it’s their thing.”
Ormeno said the hard work and dedication of the Seaside staff enabled the restaurant to stay afloat during the rise of the pandemic. Opening one day prior to restaurant shut downs was definitely not in the game plan; however, the Seaside crew swiftly adapted to customer needs with to-go meals.
“It was hard work, but I have a great team behind me not giving up and pushing me not to give up,” Devisse said.
Now, as businesses have begun to resume normal operations, Seaside Bar & Grill has been working on several exciting new initiatives which will be launching this summer.
The casual eatery is introducing a new cocktail and dessert menu. Cheesecake lovers will have no choice but to indulge in Chef Lopez’s scrumptious selection of seasonal cheesecakes! The team will also be offering a summer dinner for two special perfect for a fun (yet reasonably priced) date night. Pig Wings
Our Favorites
Pig Wings: This delicious starter is a must have! The plate features pork bites so tender they practically fall off the bone! The “wings” are baked, coated in a special rub, and then deep fried to perfection. The appetizer is lightly drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette and topped with a fresh blend of mango salsa.

Grouper Picatta
Grouper Picatta: Try Chef Lopez’s favorite dish at Seaside Bar & Grill, the Grouper Picatta. This tasty platter showcases a hunk of flaky, sautéed grouper topped with a zippy lemon caper sauce. On the side are the chef’s famous green beans with onions and a helping of Spanish rice.

Skirt Steak
Skirt Steak: This steak entrée is as colorful as it is flavorful. The brilliant plate features a tender skirt steak marinated in teriyaki sauce and roasted garlic and decorated with vibrant, edible flowers and microgreens. The hearty dish is finished off with a seasonal vegetable medley and the restaurant’s signature parmesan fries.

Jerk Chicken
Jerk Chicken: Take a quick trip to the Caribbean with this sensational jerk chicken entrée. The dish includes a generous portion of juicy chicken breasts rubbed in Jerk seasoning and topped with diced mango, onion and fresh parsley. This crowd favorite is paired with Spanish rice and a tender vegetable medley. (There’s also Jerk Shrimp for seafood enthusiasts!)

Paella
Paella: This delightful medley is a creamy blend of Spanish rice, meats and tasty vegetables. The dish features four different proteins: chicken, shrimp, muscles and sausage. The succulent flavors of the meats are complemented by chunks of asparagus, peas and red peppers.

Carrot Cake
Carrot Cake: Seaside Bar & Grill offers a variety of scrumptious desserts. Our personal favorite was the carrot cake – a perfect blend of crunchy and sweet. The rich cake includes carrots, pecans and raisins, layered with a heavenly cream cheese frosting and topped with caramel drizzle. For good measure, the dessert comes with dollops of fluffy, whipped cream.
