Many businesses and organizations in Southwest Florida are celebrating milestone years in their history. We have reported on several of these special anniversaries, commemorating their significant impact on the Village of Estero.
Estero Life Magazine is also celebrating an anniversary. Nothing quite as grandiose as FGCU or Germain Arena at 20 years, but simply a modest one-year since I acquired the former Estero Lifestyle Magazine from previous owners, renamed it Estero Life Magazine and focused 100% on that which makes Estero one of the best places to live, work, play and retire.
First of all, I want to thank the numerous advertising partners that saw the same vision as we did and continued their tremendous support. And we welcome the many new partners which have joined our family during this first year. Although more advertising partners are still needed to enable us to fully reach our goals, we are happy with the overall growth this first year. We would encourage you to take note of these businesses and organizations and to give them your full support as they enable Estero Life Magazine to reach your mailboxes each month
I would like to thank our Editor-in-Chief, Laura J. Cummings, for her continued dedication to the many stories we have presented over the last seven years, but particularly in her expanded role since the acquisition. And I would like to welcome to our editorial staff, Scott Graison, who has contributed two stories to this November issue. And of course, Ann Marie Israel, Associate Publisher, who has been a rock of support from the beginning.
I would like to make a huge shout-out to our production partners, Jenny Boyd and Wendy Gexler with Presstige Printing for doing a fabulous job designing, printing and distributing Estero Life Magazine each month. Together we have a tremendously talented and efficient team that produces the first and only ‘lifestyle’ magazine dedicated to the greater Estero market. Finding and adding a marketing specialist or two would make our organization complete!!!
We have made many accomplishments. We brought our entire production over to Lee County and are having a great economic impact in our area. We have increased in size, have expanded our distribution by more than 30% and are looking to continue that expansion as revenue growth allows. And this month we are launching a completely revised website to expand our reach well beyond the Village limits of Estero. We hope you will take the opportunity to login and register (FREE) to enjoy many new opportunities presented on the website at www.esterolifemagazine.com.
In this month’s edition, we invite you to experience the many high-quality, community theatre productions in our area. We also encourage everyone to come out for Veterans Day programs and activities on Saturday, November 11, 2017, to pay tribute to the sacrifices of so many. You will find details in our Happenings pages. We also want to invite basketball fans to the 4th Annual Gulf Coast Showcase November 20-26 at Germain Arena. And we invite everyone to ‘Save the Date’ for “Light Up Estero,” our annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony sponsored by the Rotary Club of Estero in conjunction with the Estero Chamber of Commerce and the Village Council. And finally, I think we could all use a break and a little relaxation, so we invite you to enjoy the many delights of Matanzas on the Bay for lunch or dinner on Ft. Myers Beach.
Always remember…Life is GOOD!
