“Inspiring Health” was the theme and goal of Lee Health’s annual 5K event, held at Lee Health Coconut Point on Oct. 5. The event kicked off with a 5K run, one-mile walk and kids fun run, followed by a fall festival to keep the fun rolling. Highlights of the Fall Harvest Festival were games, vendors, yoga and face painting. Estero Fire Rescue brought out a fire engine ready to be explored, and Golisano Children’s Hospital opened up an ambulance, bringing along mascots Sparkle and Sunny to welcome children at the event. This year’s Inspiring Health 5K benefits the Shipley Cardiothoracic Center, the Healthy Life Center, and the Asthma Management Program.
