Konstantin Soukhovetski illuminates each work with context and stories that celebrate the spirit and diversity of American culture. \nThis Narrative Musicales presentation is part of the Grand Piano Series. \nAbout the artists: \nEleni Katz\nHailed for her virtuosity and vibrant musical spirit\, bassoonist Eleni Katz has established herself as a prominent soloist\, chamber musician\, and orchestral player. Her “thoughtful and expressive” (San Diego Union Tribune) approach to music making has led her to performances by the bright blue waters of Bermuda to the lights of Carnegie Hall. Katz is a winner of the 2022 Concert Artist Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center\, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra\, the Nu Deco Ensemble\, the Jupiter Chamber Players\, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra\, the Fort Worth Symphony\, the Sarasota Orchestra\, and as a member with the New World Symphony. Soukhovetski has performed to critical acclaim at leading venues including Carnegie Hall\, Lincoln Center\, Wigmore Hall (London) and the Louvre (Paris). \nAs the newly appointed director of education and community engagement at Grand Piano Series in Naples\, Soukhovetski brings his dynamic combination of performance and audience interaction honed through his acclaimed presentations on music at the Curtis Institute of Music\, Northwestern University\, Singapore’s Academy of Music\, Latvia’s Jelgava Music School and as an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater\, The Juilliard School. DESCRIPTION:The NAACP Collier County Branch #5117-B\, in partnership with local community organizations\, will host a vibrant and family-friendly Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday\, May 30\, 2026\, from 1:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. at the Golden Gate Community Center\, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway\, Naples\, Florida. \n  \nThis year’s celebration is centered on building Black wealth\, health\, excellence and strong families\, bringing the Naples community together through cultural expression\, education and economic empowerment. \n  \nThe event\, held in collaboration with partners including the Boys & Girls Club of Naples & Immokalee\, will feature a variety of engaging activities and experiences for all ages\, including: \n  \n\nTaste of the Diaspora Food Heritage Row (showcasing diverse cultural cuisine)\nBlack-owned businesses and vendors\nLive performances and cultural dance sessions\nKids Zone and youth-focused activities\nOld-school games encouraging multi-generational participation\nCommunity resources and outreach opportunities\n\n  \nThe free event is expected to attract families\, community leaders\, local businesses and youth from across Naples and surrounding areas\, creating an inclusive and uplifting environment for unity and connection. \nIn addition to the main event\, the Boys & Girls Club will host youth-focused programming during the week leading up to Juneteenth\, further emphasizing the importance of mentorship and youth engagement. \n  \nThis event holds special significance in Naples\, as it brings together African American\, Caribbean\, Haitian\, Afro-Latino\, and African communities through shared history\, traditions\, food and music.
