Join Florida State Park staff along with other state and local agencies from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a fun and informative look at the importance of fire in the management of Florida’s natural communities. Meet local wildland firefighters and see the vehicles, equipment and gear that they use. Learn from park biologists about the history and benefits of prescribed fire for plants and animals. There will be food vendors as well as fun activities for kids and adults.
