Select Florida Gulf Coast University alumni who were part of Senior Projects in Fall 2017 have been invited to participate in an exhibition at FineMark National Bank & Trust in Estero. The works of three artists — all recent graduates of FGCU’s Bower School of Music & The Arts — were selected by the staff of FineMark based on quality and diversity of mediums and subject matters.
Courtney Diekelmann uses pastel drawings and acrylic paintings to describe the interconnection between beach wildlife species and the beach landscape. For Spencer Gillespie, art is a means of self-discovery and reflection as he creates large-scale, mixed media collages. Lauren Mathes is a graphic artist who developed Upside, a card game designed for people with dementia to play with family members and caregivers.
In addition to these three alumni, FineMark will be displaying works from students who traveled to New York in August 2017 as part of the FGCU, Seidler Art Travel and Research Grant. Those students are Jadon Axe, Isabella Baquerizo, Nicole Butcher, Gianna Dubay, Taylor Hallbeck, Kevin Hugh-Sam, Sebastian Melendez, Allana Nagy and Charlotte Slabach.
This exhibition may be viewed when the conference room gallery is not in use. To make an appointment for viewing, please contact Stacey Ross at (239)405-6756 or email@example.com. The exhibition began on March 20 and runs through April 26.
