The Estero Historical Society is pleased to announce the return of its popular Assessment Fair, Friday Sept. 8 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Saturday Sept. 9 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and Sunday, Sept. 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the museum buildings located at 9285 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. in Estero Park.  Professional appraiser Richard Gannon, president of Gannon’s Antiques & Art will be providing evaluation and opinions about the items that participants bring to the event.  

What’s the value of that pocket watch you inherited from your grandfather?  What about that doll you’ve been saving since you were ten? How about those crystal bowls you got as a wedding present 40 years ago that have never been out of the box?  These and other items saved in our homes could be trash or they could be hidden treasure.  If you don’t know what you are saving and whether it is worth the space it takes in your home, the upcoming, 4th Annual Assessment Fair hosted at the Estero Historical Society Sept 8, 9, and 10 will provide a chance to find out.

The historical society is asking participants to register in advance and make a donation for each item brought in for assessment (max of three items per person).  Registration may be done online at http://esterohistoricalsociety.com. The donation will be $15.00 per item for members of the Historical Society and $20.00 per item for non-members.
