The Estero Historical Society is pleased to announce the return of its popular Assessment Fair, Friday April 22 from 2:00 -7:00 pm and Sunday, April 24 from 4:30 – 7:00 pm at the museum buildings located at 9285 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. in Estero Park.  Professional appraiser Richard Gannon, president of Gannon’s Antiques & Art will be providing evaluation and opinions about the items that participants bring to the event.  

What’s the value of that pocket watch you inherited from your grandfather?  What about that doll you’ve been saving since you were ten? How about those crystal bowls you got as a wedding present 40 years ago that have never been out of the box?  These and other items saved in our homes could be trash or they could be hidden treasure.  If you don’t know what you are saving and whether it is worth the space it takes in your home, the upcoming, 3rd Annual Assessment Fair hosted at the Estero Historical Society on April 22 and 24 will provide a chance to find out.

The historical society is asking a $15 donation for each item brought in for assessment (max of three items per person).  Registration may be done online at http://esterohistoricalsociety.com The funds raised will go directly to support the historical society’s building maintenance and repair program.  The historical society museum is housed in two buildings located at 9285 Corkscrew Palms Blvd.  One building is the 1902 Hall-Hanson-Collier House and the other is the 1904 Estero Creek School House.  Learn more about the Estero Historical Society at the website above or at http://facebook.com/esterohistory.
