The sixth annual Breaking Par at Grandezza Gala & Golf Tournament is a two-day charity event benefitting Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida and its flagship Program, CEO Academy at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Festivities will kick off with a gala dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, where guests will enjoy delicious cuisine amid entertaining live and silent auctions. On Sunday, the Shotgun Scramble Golf Tournament, featuring students from the PGA Golf Management Program at FGCU, begins at 8:30 a.m. An afternoon luncheon, prize giveaway and awards ceremony will conclude the weekend’s activities.
In recognition of FGCU’s valued, longstanding partnership with Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida, FGCU President Michael Martin will be the Breaking Par at Grandezza Guest of Honor, attending both the gala on Saturday and the Shotgun Scramble Golf Tournament on Sunday.
Breaking Par at Grandezza serves as the primary funding source for CEO Academy, a week-long, business school summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors. Over the past five years, Breaking Par at Grandezza proceeds have contributed more than $247,000 in funding to support CEO Academy and additional Junior Achievement programming.
Junior Achievement programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, and provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.
