February 26 at 7 pm – Be a part of local history at the first professional production to be performed at Estero High School!  At 7:00 p.m. for one night only, you will be transported to the 1930’s, shortly after film studios transitioned to talking pictures. The story, originally titled Die Fledermaus, follows the schemes of the erring matinee idol leading man, his neglected diva wife, aspiring actresses and singers struggling to make their names, and an eccentric, mysterious Russian millionaire.  Practical jokes and confusion abound against the background of beautiful and familiar music by Johann Strauss.  

This full scale professional production from Gulfshore Opera, whose new headquarters are now located in Estero, includes 26 vocal artists, a 16 piece professional orchestra, a lovely Art Deco set and glamorous period costumes.
