A MONET AFTERNOON
March 22 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm$50
ESTERO HISTORICAL SOCIETY ANNUAL LUNCHEON
Experience an elegant “Monet afternoon” with the Estero Historical Society. This annual fundraising luncheon takes place on March 22 and includes a delicious lunch, canvas painting, two auctions, and a “Share the Wealth” raffle. The festivities will begin at noon; however, guests are encouraged to arrive at 11 a.m. to view all the wonderful auction items.
Along with enjoying a tasty lunch of grilled Mahi-mahi or London broil, guests will also be offered several types of bread made from the recipe book of Estero pioneer Evelyn Horne.
The live auction, with auctioneer Rick Gallo, will include 12 unique items, which will be featured on the society’s website prior to the luncheon. The “impressionist auction” will offer great prizes such as theater tickets and certificates to local businesses. Additionally, the Share the Wealth raffle will allow more guests to win prizes by equally splitting earnings four ways.
Along with the plethora of ways to win prizes at the luncheon, the Estero Art League is making a special appearance. The audience will watch members paint over 200 mini-canvases, which they will be invited to take home at the end of the event.
Tickets for the luncheon, impressionist auction and Share the Wealth Raffle must be purchased on the EHS website by March 13. All funds raised allow the Estero Historical Society to continue serving the community and preserving Estero’s unique history.
The Estero Historical Society (EHS) seeks to secure a rich historical legacy for future generations and to build a strong sense of community. The organization is on a mission to learn, teach and preserve the history of Estero.
