ESTERO VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

The Village of Estero held its Inaugural Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 11 in Estero Community Park. Boy Scout Troop 102 presented the flags, and Estero Life Magazine Publisher Gary Israel sang the National Anthem. The event featured patriotic music by the Estero High School Marching Band and the Gulf Coast Harmonizers, a local a cappella mens group. Dignitaries included State Rep. Ray Rodrigues, Lee County Commissioner Larry Kiker and a representative for Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, along with representatives from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Schools and the Estero and San Carlos Park Fire Districts. The event concluded with complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.
