Estero Bay Olive Oil and Tea is a small, local business pioneering the health benefits and variable uses of quality olive oil and loose teas.

Owners Doug Thompson and Diana Todorova each have unique background stories and a passion for business. Thompson is a fifth generation to the area and a descendant of Sam Thompson, who ran the first telegraph office in downtown Ft. Myers. He has developed two other successful olive oil stores in Florida and decided to come back to where he grew up to start his new venture. Todorova grew up in post-socialist Bulgaria and became a popular television journalist for many years, eventually traveling to 24 countries and reporting on immigration all over the world. By chance, she won the green card lottery (Diversity Immigrant Visa program) and made her way to the United States for a new adventure – becoming a businesswoman.

Estero Bay Olive Oil and Tea sells many award-winning products and carries Melgarejo Estate Olive Oil, the most decorated producer in the world. A few accolades include “Best Extra Virgin in the World” Evooleum 2019 for Oro Bailen Picual, Gold Medal Winner 2019 Los Angles International Olive Oil Competition and Best in Class 2019 New York Olive Oil Competition. Estero Bay Olive Oil and Tea strives to create a tranquil atmosphere where visitors can stop, enjoy a cup of tea, learn and make new friends. Tastings and educational events happen every week, and the owners love to share their passion with anyone who attends.
